The official web site of Vijay Prakash(http://www.vijayprakash.me), a playback singer who has sung in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and other languages was launched on 18th August 2010. He is also one of four singers credited for the song, "Jai Ho", which won the 2008 Academy Award for Best Original Song. Specifically, he sang the portion with the words "Jai Ho" that takes an extended high pitch at numerous junctures of the song. The Song also won the 52nd "Grammy Awards" in the category "Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media.
Not many know that the voice behind the high pitched 'Jai Ho' in the song with the same name, which brought India two Academy Awards is that of Vijay Prakash.
His most recent songs which have become chartbusters the world over, include the Tamil song 'Hosana' from the movie 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya' and 'Beera Beera' from 'Ravan', the music score for both the movies is by Academy Award winner A R Rahman.
