With MAHITI

Founded MAHITI in 1998 along with Sreekanth and Allan to provide appropriate and affordable IT services to the voluntary sector. Started by providing free E-mail service and web sites for around 20 organisations.

Built over 50 web/intranet/kiosk/multimedia applications for clients including - Ashoka.org, Indian Foundation for the Arts, ChangeMakers.net, Datacons, National Law School University of India, N-logue, Partners in Change.

Joint promoter of BangaloreCares.org, a directory of 570 voluntary organisations from Karnataka. Joint promoter of IndiaCares.org, a donations portal for the Indian voluntary organisations. This portal is being merged with ICICICommunities.org. We have just started work on ICICICommunities.org ver II. Joint promoter of ''Development Laboratory'' along with Centre for Knowledge Societies, Madhyam and Voices.

Presentations and trainings for South Asia Fundraising Group, Indian Tobacco Company, Indev, Public Affairs Centre, Asia Foundation,, VOICES, World Bank, Ashoka Foundation, Indian Social Institute, Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Tirunelvelli Corporation. Two software products under development. Knowledge management product for Intranets and the Internet. This product was a finalist for Erica 2000 constituted by Ericsson. Relationship management product for managing donor relationships supported by Ford Foundation.

Project design and consultancy for rural ICT and e-governance projects such as Anandwan [Baba Amte''s community at Nagpur, Maharastra], Gokul Prakalp Prathistan [Ratnagiri District Maharastra] and Azim Premji Foundation [Karnataka].

Elected as Ashoka Fellow for exploring the democratic potential of the Internet.

1997 SAMUHA
Web master for online fundraising campaign. Also worked as a programmer. MAHITI is a project of SAMUHA.

1996 SCENE DESIGNS
Worked with 2 designers on screen and offset printing jobs.

1995 VOICE
Edited and produced a monthly newsletter for Wesley Church.

1993 STUDENTS FOR PEACE
Setup express apolitical and secular express platform during Ayodhya/Bombay riots. 5000 students holding candles on MG Road, Bangalore.
